The weather was perfect the day we visited Evergreen Orchard Farm in New Jersey. Beneath a brilliant blue sky, dotted with soft cumulus clouds like fluffy cotton, rows of graceful pear trees stood in quiet splendor. The air was filled with the sweet, delicate scent of ripe pears, and the entire farm seemed to rest peacefully beneath the endless horizon.
It was a joyful day - each pear we picked was incredibly juicy and sweet. My muse, Melody, gathered a generous bagful with a delighted smile, determined to bring home enough for a batch of homemade pear jam.
