I painted this piece in June, during Pride Month, which honors the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City.
The painting depicts the Stonewall National Monument in the West Village. It holds deep significance as the first national monument in the United States dedicated to LGBTQ rights and history.
