For years, I have been creating mixed media pieces in my art journals, including small paintings, drawings, and sketches using watercolor, ink, and graphite. These watercolor sketchbooks serve as my visual diaries, chronicling the lovely places I have visited and the memories I have gathered through travel.

Whenever I journey to a new destination, I carry my watercolor kit and sketchbook with me. Whether painting en plein air or quietly in a hotel room, I seek to capture the essence of each moment in a way that feels both personal and artistic.

Watercolor remains my medium of choice for sketchbook work. Its fluidity, spontaneity, and portability make it a perfect companion, allowing me to record fleeting impressions with immediacy and grace.

 

 

Spring at Bryant Park, New York City

One day, while strolling through Bryant Park in New York City, I stopped for a cup of coffee at COFFEED, a charming little café tucked inside the park, after spending some time studying at the nearby New York Public Library.
