For years, I have been creating mixed media pieces in my art journals, including small paintings, drawings, and sketches using watercolor, ink, and graphite. These watercolor sketchbooks serve as my visual diaries, chronicling the lovely places I have visited and the memories I have gathered through travel.

Whenever I journey to a new destination, I carry my watercolor kit and sketchbook with me. Whether painting en plein air or quietly in a hotel room, I seek to capture the essence of each moment in a way that feels both personal and artistic.

Watercolor remains my medium of choice for sketchbook work. Its fluidity, spontaneity, and portability make it a perfect companion, allowing me to record fleeting impressions with immediacy and grace.

 

 

Teatime with Artbooks

I took a longer break while I’m working on a new painting today, for these fresh homemade English Scones, they are super delicious!    In general I will have 15mins breaks in between working on my painting, and I’m reading Richard Schmid book during the break recently.
